Why do adults/concessions pay to go into the park when they may not play on anything
The reason behind this is that everyone making use of the park will use our amenities – eg Toilets, benches, etc and these must be kept in good condition. Also all of our equipment can be used for adults.
What is your soup of the day?
Our soup is home-made and changes on a daily basis. The day’s varieties are advertised on a blackboard by the menu boards and sometimes on the outdoor blackboard.
Why do the children’s ham lunch boxes have babybel cheese in them but the cheese lunch boxes have a freddo chocolate bar in them?
We like to offer a healthy option for the children as well as the adults. The ham lunchbox is our healthy option.
Are the only toilets inside?
No, we have toilet facilities both inside the coffee shop and outside in the park we have a toilet block so it is easier to pop in on your way by rather than coming all the way inside.
How come we all have to have our hands stamped when we are going into the park as a family?
This is so that our park attendants know that you have been seen by someone as you enter the park and also so when spot checks are done you are easily identifiable as having paid for entry. This also ensures that should your party get separated that you do not need to worry about carrying your receipt.
If we are playing outside can we play inside for free?
Unfortunately as our inside and outside play areas are separate play areas and we do have limited capacity inside we cannot offer free inside play to all children. Also our area is suitable for under 7’s so again it would not be fair to the older children. We do a reduced price of £1 per child for using the inside play area if you have already paid to play outside.
What is the deposit payable for a children’s party?
The deposit is £50 payable on booking your child’s party and this is deducted from the total cost on the day.
Can we bring picnic lunches with us?
Yes this is acceptable to do so and we have plenty of picnic benches and grass space throughout the park to allow for picnic blankets. We do not allow picnics in the café.
Can we bring our dog to the park?
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs in the park as we do not know how other members of the public or our farm animals would cope with them nor how they would be in return. We do have a field area/overflow car park where you could walk your dog should you wish to bring them and leave them in the car while you are in the park.
